History of the Blue Jeans.

xl1img2.jpg.pagespeed.ic.BIREp8QQH4[1] Blue Jeans are the most iconic garments of our times. But we tend to see them as an all American thing and few know that the word Jeans actually originates from the Italian… seaport of Genoa and that denim (the cloth used to create a pair of Blue Jeans) comes from the French city of Nimes.

Angelo Paratico has been studying and working in this field for over thirty years, publishing essays on this thrilling subject, he is willing to share with us his expertise: speaking about the history of denim, how it is produced and which may be the latest fashion trends.
Furthermore he will explain to us also the antiquarian value of old Blue Jeans. You may not know it but at the bottom of your wardrobe – under a pile of old rags – you may find a treasure!
Angelo Paratico is vice President of Candiani Denim (Far East) Ltd. A World Leader for the production of high quality denim fabrics.
