First Dante Alighieri Award assigned to Dr. Herbert Adamczyk

adam3The First Dante Alighieri Award for contribution to Italian Culture in Hong Kong & Macau was awarded on 11 June 2016 to Mr. Herbert Adamczyk. The award ceremony was staged prior to the first auction of Classic Cars in Hong Kong, organized by Dr. Richard Lee at the Repulse Bay Hotel. Dr. Lee is also the patron of the Dante Alighieri Society in Hong Kong.
Mr. Herbert Adamczyk, a German national with a past in car racing and a long-time resident of Hong Kong, was the Managing Director of Italian Motors (sales and services). In his position, as agent of Ferrari and Maserati, has contributed greatly to the good name of Italian industry, art and culture in Hong Kong and Macau.
Mr. Herbert Adamczyk is currently a member of the board of the Italian Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong and Macau.
The award diploma together with a painting by Italian artist Francesco Lietti, were delivered by the Consul General of Italy in Hong Kong and Macau, Dr. Antonello de Riu, after a brief introduction delivered by the president of Dante Alighieri, Mr. Bruno Feltracco.
